CITY wrap up Title!!!

By Wesley Tronson - Press Service International

Manchester City have taken the Premiership title with 5 games to spare after Manchester United went down at home to West Brom 1-0.

The defeat to United meant it is mathematically impossible for City to not win the Premier League as they win this season - and they never looked like losing.

It’s a great double for Pep’s men as they also won the league cup in February. The double is Pep’s first taste of silverware in England & they look at formidable side as they will look to do everything possible to retain the League in 18/19.

Liverpool continued their push for a top 2 finish with another emphatic win this time at the hands of Bournemouth. Liverpool’s front 3 all got in on the act each scoring to ensure Liverpool are now only 1 point behind United.

They are 3 points clear of Spurs after they lost 3-1 to City in London. Spurs are now in a fight to ensure they have Champions League football next term as they are 7 points clear of Chelsea.

The relegation scrap added new drama on Saturday as Huddersfield Town scored a dramatic stoppage time winner, beating Watford 1-0. The win Lifts the relegation favourites 7 points clear of the drop zone and you would think 1 more win in the final 5 matches would be enough to secure top flight football next year.

Palace defeated Brighton to move them 2 wins away from the drop zone. Zaha’s brace whilst in red hot form secured another vital 3 points for the Londoners as they look as strong as ever since their resurgence this earlier this year.

Other fixtures saw Swansea and Everton play out a 1-1 draw. Chelsea came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at St Marys as Southampton now look in real danger of being relegated.

Newcastle all but sealed survival with a shock 2-1 win over Arsenal whilst Burnley won 2-1 at home to Leicester to continue their impressive form.
