Sam Gillespie and Kelvin Hawthorn – One Day in Melbourne
22 separate missions sent their representatives (one or more) to One Day in Melbourne held at the Craigieburn Salvation Army on Saturday.
The speakers were -
David Goodwin
David Goodwin is a recognised geek and proud to be such – he addressed the iCloud - he is editor of the Salvation Army’s War Cry and a ‘comment’ writer for Christian Today and one of the 5 sport writers. David's presentation will be published tomorrow in Christian Today on this site – Tuesday 22 May.
Ben Campbell
Director of Australasian African Enterprise. Ben travels extensively in this ministry with a heart for the lost and building relationships with Christian Leaders around the world. He is uniquely placed to address this subject of international mission communications. Ben's presentation will be published on Wednesday 23 May in Christian Today on this site.
Ashley Saunders
Director of FamilyVoice Australia who is a former lawyer and an ordained Baptist minister. He brings with him a fresh appeal in multi media - he is addressing One Day in Melbourne on the issues relating to a “medium size ministry” in communications. Ashley's presentation will be published on Thursday 24 May in Christian Today on this site.

Who was addressed
2018 One Day in Melbourne on Saturday (19 May) held at the Craigieburn Salvation Army focus was mission publication editors, writers, designers, social media mavens, authors, bloggers, self-publishers ….
This focus was on the forgotten Christian media, all those small publications – mostly on-line, not the major denominational publications who already have their audience.
These top of the line presenters gave their time at no cost so as to ensure such mission agencies received a thorough concordant.
Simon Farrer and Susan Barns – One Day in Melbourne
The program was straight forward
The morning session at 11.00am led by David Goodwin looked at those IT issues for missions how icloud works.
Afternoon sessions were led by Ben Campbell of the Australasian African Enterprise followed by Ashley Saunders of FamilyVoice Australia and then finished up with a small group session led by Peter Brookshaw of Craigieburn Sallies – the focus for the small groups was on 2019 One Day in Melbourne.
Next year a new team is planning and running One Day in Melbourne. Rev Bob Thomas editor of New Life and Dr Mark Tronson of Well-Being Australia's young writer program established it three years ago and now having completed three years, and felt it was time to now pass it onto a new generation of leaders.
There is an article on the speakers each day – Tuesday (David Goodwin), Wednesday (Ben Campbell) and Thursday (Ashley Saunders) in Christian Today on this site.
